In conjunction with Townsville’s premier coffee roasters, Coffee Dominion, we have created our very own blend of Espresso – and it’s available only at Otto’s Monsooned Espresso Bar (located at Otto’s Market Warrina, Otto’s Market Precinct and Otto’s Bakehaus JCU).

 

Our cafe is one of the busiest areas of our marketplace, buzzing daily from the moment we open our doors, until late in the afternoon. People come in droves for their fix of the adventurous Otto’s Monsooned Malabar, but our cafe range is not limited to our exclusive coffee; we also offer an eclectic range of hot beverages, Tea Tonic teas, real fruit smoothies, milkshakes, and cold-pressed juices… and we do it all with impeccable service, 7 days a week.

 

Pair your chosen beverage with something delicious from Otto’s Kitchen or our Artisan Bakehaus selection, and you will know you’re onto a good thing!

What makes our coffee
so aromatic, so spicy, so sweet?

 

A death-defying trip fraught with danger, that’s what.

 

Back in the days of the British Raj, the Malabar coffee bean sailed from India to Europe, navigating perilous oceans and treacherous coastlines. All the while the salted winds, rolling seas and sticky humidity was working some monsoonal magic, deepening the Malabar bean into a seductive flavour unmatched by any other… and so the ritual of ‘monsooning’ the Malabar bean was born.

 

These days, the Malabar beans have laid their adventuring days to rest, instead maturing their rich flavour in monsooning nurseries. Here, the Malabar is nurtured for a full 16 weeks, exposed to the same sultry air, but without the death-defying trip.
