Hey early risers! There’s a new breakfast option in town.
To Otto, breakfast is more than just a meal, it’s a lifestyle. And this is why he’s kept you waiting for what is sure to be one of his best accomplishments to date. He has enlisted one of Townsville’s best chefs to head up the Otto’s Kitchen team; Canadian-born Heather Macnab – and she and her crew of food-loving chefs and kitchenhands have been working hard to curate a breakfast menu that ticks all the boxes: fresh, healthy, eclectic, unique and (most importantly) insanely delicious.
Featuring low gluten options, dishes perfect for sharing, vegetarian and even vegan items, nothing will wake you up quite like these offerings. And we promise they will put a spring in your step for the entire day.
You’ll find creative dishes like Toad in the Avo (filled fresh avocado served with your choice of standard or vegan toppings), World Champion Savoury Mince Crepes, and our Baker’s Breakfast; a delicious serving of Greek feta in arrabiata sauce, baked in a clay pot. Add some crunchy sourdough soldiers and it’s breakfast at a whole new level.
For those after something a little different (and unlike anything Townsvillians have ever seen), we highly recommend you grab a friend and share a German Breakfast Platter (piled high with boiled eggs, a selection of German wurst cuts and cheese, salted pretzel, rye bread, cultured butter, marmalade and pickles, or the one standout favourite among the Otto’s crew: the Egg Floozy… a delicious coddled egg on-truffle seasoned mashed potato, served in a jar (and let’s not forget the soldiers). All the king’s men can’t stay away from that one.
Diners can also grab their usual quick bites with on-the-go coffee and our normal range of grab-and-go sweets and savouries, and our Monsooned Espresso Bar manager Julia has also gone all out with a new selection of freshly squeezed juice and hand made smoothies too.
